PAKISTAN’S FIRST LICENSED EV RICKSHAW
SAZGAR, a leading innovator and the pioneer of electric rickshaw in the automotive industry, took center stage at the highly anticipated Electric Licensing Event by the Government of Punjab on Tuesday 9th January 2024. The event was hosted at Faletti’s, Lahore which was attended by Chief Minister of Punjab, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and SAZGAR CEO Mian Asad Hameed.
Back In 2005, SAZGAR was given the first 4-stroke CNG Rickshaw license of Pakistan which was presented by Ex-Chief Minister Punjab, Pervaiz Elahi to SAZGAR CEO, Mian Asad Hameed and now continuing the trend. SAZGAR CEO, Mr. Mian Asad Hameed received the first ever EV Rickshaw manufacturing license of Pakistan, by the honorable Chief Minister of Punjab, at the EV Licensing ceremony hosted by the Government of Punjab. This step marks a new era of electric vehicles in Pakistan and a step towards sustainable living. The event showcased SAZGAR’s commitment to revolutionize the automotive landscape with its cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs). Attendees were treated to an immersive experience, featuring live demonstrations, informative displays, and in-depth presentations on the latest technological advancements in the electric mobility sector by SAZGAR.
Since the start, SAZGAR has emphasized on revolutionizing the automobile industry and reducing carbon emission in Pakistan by introducing the first 4 stroke CNG rickshaw and now the first EV rickshaw of Pakistan in an effort to bring sustainable living and a greener future.
The SAZGAR EV electric rickshaw features a sleek design with a powerful electric engine that delivers exceptional performance, efficiency and turns head with its road presence. It delivers an exceptional range of 100km (base variant) and 160km (top variant) when fully charged with only up to 4 hours of charging time and it also features digitized odometers.
SAZGAR also set the millstone for being the first company from Pakistan to export its 3-wheelers to more than 30 countries with repeating orders from Japan. Not only that, but the first to export its fleet of electric rickshaw from Pakistan to Liberia. SAZGAR aim is to revolutionize the automotive industry in Pakistan by setting milestones and leading the way to a more sustainable Pakistan.
